Many tourists think that Majorca is only an island that can give the opportunity to live a normal holiday made by drink-food-discos and parties. This is quiet true, but not at all!
If you’re that kind of tourist going on holiday and looking for these things, the best place for you are Magalluf and Palmanova, if you’re coming from England, and El Arenal and Can Pastilla, if you’re coming from Germany. In those places you can find a “copy” of your original country, eating your traditional food, but with a wonderful seaside and relaxing beaches, going out in the night finding a typical English pub or German beer wherever you want. And if you don’t have preference between a Pizza or a Baked Potato, please, don’t read what I’m going to tell you. This is an article made for those people who wants to forget their habits and try something new!
So if you’re that kind of tourist that doesn’t matter what you’re going to eat, because you don’t need your fish and chips every day of your life or an Italian coffee because without it you can’t wake up in the morning, and you’re ready to eat typical Spanish food, tring to order it in a different language than yours, well, you can discover the best part of this island!
An holiday in Majorca is something you’ll never forget. Majorca, the biggest island of the Balearic Islands, is a good opportunity to find a place where you can have the possibility to have sea and mountain together, and many activities to do.
First of all, book a flight to Majorca. The airport Son San Juan is well covered by the main European airlines, overall coming direct from Germany and England. Just going out the airport you’ll see a wonderful sky covering the island, and the air you’re breathing never will be the same. The best way to discover the island is renting a car, that will give you all the freedom you need, because some places are quite far from the capital Palma, where all the buses start their tour.
Majorca tourism is divided by some areas where you can find people coming from every country. The south-east side, starting from El Arenal, is attended overall by German people and Dutch, by all the seasons. In summer you can also find French and Italians people, but they are a minority in comparison. There’s a large sandy beach, Playa de Palma, rounded by many hotels, offering all inclusive prices, and shops. By night discos and pubs are always full of people dancing and drinking the typical Spanish drink, Sangria. El Arenal is 20 km
