The cuisine: American that is French-inspired with regional influences from the South, Midwest, and especially New Orleans. Yahoo travel says it has “great food, great drink, and great service.”

The food is fresh with fifty local farmers supplying product. The restaurant boasts a Wine Spectator Award winning list and their world class beer selection enjoys the same respect as their wine. The setting is very comfortable that can be a welcome change of pace from the strip. For foodies, you can get seating at the bar that looks into the open kitchen.

The City Search Editor recommends this secluded European bistro for a romantic evening. It’s not for children. It caters to locals and the dress is business or dressy casual.

The Menu: Frommer’s reports that the seared “foie gras with peach coulis, candied walnuts, and vanilla bean-scented arugula is like a quilt, with distinct flavors that all hang together nicely.” They also say that the “ultrarich bleu-cheese slaw, slightly spicy crispy fried tortilla chips, and perfect cornmeal jalapeno hush puppies” make for interesting side dishes.

Fodor’s says that “among the signature dishes on the American regional menu are pepper-seared sea scallops with wild mushroom orzo, prosciutto, and black-truffle emulsion. Another favorite is roasted rack of lamb with Kalamata-olive-mashed, fried arugula, and rosemary-bordelaise sauce and the side of white-cheddar grits is addictive.”
